今日のテーマは人の性格を現す表現。 教科書にはでてこないけれども、ネイティブの会話では良くでてくる表現をふんだんに紹介します。会話の内容は、ようやく会うことになった幼馴染のマイクとジョーイ。昼食をとりながら、マイクのお嫁さんの話でもりあがります。さて、どんなお嫁さんなんでしょう。早速聞いてみましょう。

I met my former boyfriend over the internet… it felt a bit cheesy at first !
As Peter先生 said, it’s sometimes uncanny how real life personality can match your horoscope description ! I know a lot of people (me included) who behave just like their horoscope says they should…

Yes you are right! real life personality sometimes matches your horoscope, blood type and Chinese horoscope . I’m gemini, blood type O+ and rat has my Chinese horoscope and some aspects of me do match but not all of them though. 
Don’t worry about the HEAVY FLAME like dragon, it doesn’t burn my ears, eyes, mouth and hands.

彼女とは高校が一緒でした。 なぜ仲良くなったのかはもう忘れてしまったけど、僕が高校を卒業したあとは連絡しなくなって、彼女はいつの間にかアメリカに留学していました。ひょんなことで再び出会うことになり、今に至るわけで・・・人の繋がりは不思議だな～と思っているところです 英語で、腐れ縁、とか、幼馴染、って何て言うんでしたっけ？日本語での方がよく使うのでしょうか？

確かに日本語ではよく「縁」という言葉を使いますね。英語でも、”fate” （運命）とかつかいますね。幼馴染はchildhood friend.

Thank you for your comment! after taking some fresh air and calm down myself now I feel much better. I was attack by surprise but anyway well Gemini people have two personalities, are mysterious and different that the rest I am like Johny Deep and he is the pride of all Gemini’s.
