One of my best childhood memories is sitting on the huge leather armchair my grandparents had brought back from Algeria, reading an old musty copy of “Ivanhoe” with the pitty-pat of raindrops falling on the window panes…

One of my favorite childhood memories is sitting on my great-grandpa’s lap eating cheese puffs with him.

小さい頃よくおじいちゃんがみかんをむいてくれました。一緒に凧揚げにも行きました。やっぱり、小さい頃はみなさん、おじいちゃんやおばあちゃんとの思い出が印象的みたいですね

My grandmother used to take me to the top of the department store to ride these miniature rides. (An electric rocking horse etc) We used to spend hours there. I was her favorite grandchild and she was my favorite grandmother.
She wasn’t biologically related to me. Just a tenant who lived in my mother’s house who raised my mother. I miss her dearly. And she is the only person I consider to be my grandmother.

僕のちいさいころの思い出は、よくカブトムシやクワガタをとりに近くの森にいっては、つかまえて育てたことですね〜〜。よく食べかけのスイカをあげたものです 
東京のこどもたちはそういう、自然にふれる機会が全然すくないと思うので、なんだかかわいそう 
昔は、実家がある田舎はすきではありませんでしたが、今になってはそういう帰る場所があるということがとてもありがたく思います。年をとってきたという証拠ですね…

私は子供のころ、家族みんなで旅行にいったのが一番の思い出ですね～～。 ここ十数年は家族で出かけることはなくなりましたが、今となっては貴重な思い出です～～

あつしさん＞私もよくカブトムシやクワガタを捕まえたり、ザクロを採って食べたり、竹を切って竹馬を作ったり、野性的なこと（笑）をよくしたものです。将来子供にもそういう思い出を作って欲しいです
