In the U.S., I asked my doctor how I can save money efficiently. I was hoping he would tell me about stocks, bonds, mutual funds etc. But he told me, “Just put all your change (coins) in a piggy bank at the end of the day!” …. Interesting…I could try that!

I think that’s actually good advice !!!
I’ve always been fascinated by the piggy banks I saw in Japan, where they tell you “once you’ve filled this, you’ll have saved xxxxxx 円!” But I’m afraid I would never get to fill it all…

Petite Claire, yes, I know those piggy banks. I’ve never used them before but they seem like fun. And the idea of having your bank automatically transfer money to your savings account is great! Maybe I’ll try that!

Javizy, we debated whether to teach the word crap, but like you said, we use it A LOT in daily life!
