「汚れた部屋に怒るお母さん」の第３話目です。先週はリビングが汚れていると怒っていましたが、汚れていたのはリビングだけではなく、台所も大変な状態に・・・。さて、どんな状況なのでしょうか。

I haven’t listened to the previous lessons, but as soon as I heard “The Kitchen, My kitchen” and when Eddie was referred to WITH his middle names, I could tell someone was in trouble. Big trouble. (When I was a kid, it ALWAYS meant I was in trouble when my mom called me Christopher Matthew) (Everyone here has at least 3 names, some have so many it’s ridiculous.)

I realize the target audience of this podcast typically won’t have a middle name. Is there something in particular your parents said when you were in trouble, or did you just rely on the tone of their voice?

KC8UFVさん＞そうですね～。日本人の場合は、普段は～ちゃん、～君と呼んでいても、怒ったときにはその～ちゃんとか～君がなくなって呼び捨てになる、とかはありますが、英語でフルネームを呼ぶ、というようにはっきりした怒りの表現の仕方はないかもしれないですね。今ではないかもしれませんが、昔は、悪いことをしたら男の子はよく丸刈りにされていました！
