I’m not sure about burials, but cremations are pretty common over here. One of my dogs was cremated, and my nan had two dogs cremated. When my pet rats died, I buried those in the garden, but you can’t really do that with large animals, and dumping them in a skip somewhere is surely out of the question

I had like seven generations of guinea pigs when I was little. Everytime they died, we buried them either in our backyard (when we lived in the US in a huge house) or in a nearby shrine (after we moved to Osaka.)
