I try not to keep the water running unnecessarily, and I bring my own shopping bag when I go grocery shopping.

I understood quite a bit of the Japanese version thanks to the Destruction of Nature Jpod lesson that Sachiko-san also had a part in 
The effect recent rises in fuel prices have had on the economy show how severely dependent we are on nature-destroying substances. It’s hard to imagine any notable decline in emissions during my lifetime; I think we’re more likely to see natural fuel dry up before we see a meaningful decline in its use

Thanks for remembering that JPOD lesson on environmental destruction. That was pretty difficult! Good for you for being able to pick up a lot of what was said.
But yes, the current rise in oil prices and food crisis is alarming and quite surreal. I never imagined that I (living in a developed country with a decent income) would ever feel that I can’t afford to buy certain foods! I think we all urgently need to reduce use of natural resources and tone down our lifestyle!
Sindy, yes, I’m sad too that we won’t be seeing the first female US president. But I think Hillary paved the way for other women to follow suit and inspired a lot of young girls. So half the mission was accomplished!
