When I was younger, I was often too shy or embarrassed to say hello, or to admit that I didn’t remember where I had met someone. Now, I try to remember to just be honest and friendly.若いころ、よく恥ずかしすぎてたから声が出られませんでした。今、年をとって、改過自新でもっと人なつっこくて、正直でやってみれば、日本語をがんばります。

I like meeting other people unexpectedly in the street, however the worst thing I know of is meeting someone that you know you’ve met before but can’t remember the name of… Trying to sound intelligent and pleased and not letting on that you don’t remember the name is soooo difficult !
