Sachiko Nakagome After growing up in Canada and the United States, she has worked as a translator, writer, interpreter, and teacher. She has taught English for more than ten years, including seven years handling MD (materials development), teaching and management of an English conversation school. Obtained the Introductory and Advanced Certificates in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) in 1996 and currently working toward the J-Shine certification to teach English in Japan’s elementary schools. She graduated from Doshisha University and New York University. |

Peter Galante A resident of Japan for over 9 years and candidate for Phd. at a prestigious Japanese university, began JapanesePod101.com in December 2005 to bring his passion for Japanese, Japan and its culture to students of the language throughout the world. Naomi After graduating from a Japanese university, she taught Japanese at Australian junior high schools and high schools on an exchange program. She then went to the US to teach Japanese in US elementary schools as well as junior and senior high schools. Since returning to Japan, she has taught English conversation, pronunciation, TOEIC prep at various English schools. She also has experience in materials development and teacher training. She has a government-approved license to teach English in Japanese junior and senior high schools. She has passed the Testing English Proficiency (STEP) grade 1. |

Hiroko Nakamura Has been working as a freelance translator and simultaneous interpreter in and outside of Japan since 2004. She graduated from the Ouachita Baptist University in Arkansas in 2007, obtaining a BA there. Since returning to Japan, she has been teaching at an international school while continuing to work as a translator and interpreter. She has obtained an ESL certification recognized by the Southern Baptist Convention. She has scored a 970 on the TOEIC test. |

Amy Lane Amy Lane has a background in acting and worked as a computer trainer for banks and law offices in New York City. She was a foreign exchange student to Mexico and speaks Spanish. In Japan she works as an English teacher and is learning Japanese and Japanese cooking. Amy has a degree from Arizona State University, and is a certified Pilates Instructor. |

Bob Werley A professional actor from the United States. During his six years in Japan, he has taught English at conversation, TOEIC, TOEFL, and business English. As an actor, he has been involved with the Tokyo Internation Players, Sometimes Y Theatre, and New Worlds Theatre. He has also done extensive voice work on educational CDs, TOEIC practice tests, and Sega video games. |

Kerry Doherty Originally from Massachusetts, Kerry moved around the states quite a bit before her move to Japan. She has earned degrees in Theatre and Education and is happy to be using both with English pod. She is particularly fond of performing sketch comedy and improvisation. |

Eric Rubio Has taught English at a Tokyo elementary school (fifth and sixth graders) for a year, including making his own materials. He now teaches adults and children privately and attends a graduate school in Tokyo. He majors in music composition. |
